In the big game of the day our Under 15's entertained local rivals Dronfield Town in front of a capacity crowd at Gosforth Fields.
Our lads needed no motivating for this one, with pride at stake as well as looking to go back to the top of Division B.
It was Town who started the better team and they had us penned in for the opening 10 minutes as they threw the kitchen sink at us. Despite this our #1 Ben had no saves to make, and our rock solid back line mopped up everything.
As the half progressed we started to stamp our authority on proceedings winning a couple of corners, one of which was headed narrowly wide by Henry. Lewis was back to his best at the top of the pitch and shot narrowly over when working space in the box for himself.
A change midway through the half saw us take the lead. Lewis robbed Town of possession as they tried to play out from a goal kick, and his shot was only parried to Tess
(who'd only been on the pitch a matter of minutes) to side foot home. 1-0.
We now started to dominate the midfield with skipper Az getting on the ball and driving us forward. After good work down our right Lewis wriggled his way into the box and showed great composure to side foot home through a crowded penalty area. 2-0 HALF TIME.
We told the lads before kick off that all 15 of them would be needed today as we utilised the bench to try and keep things fresh. Kane re-entered the game midway through the half, beat his marker and unselfishly squared the ball to the onrushing Tyler, who side footed home for number 3.
Matty Goodwin had been waiting patiently on the bench as he comes back from a bad thumb injury. Matty is usually a no nonsense centre half, but it was felt his energy could be used down the left hand side.
What happened next was incredible. Kane again out muscled his marker and dug out a pinpoint cross which was met by the onrushing GOODWIN to power home a bullet header from 12 yards. 4-0.
And the lads weren't finished yet. Lewis was brought back on for the last 10 minutes and this resulted in us adding a 5th in the closing moments. After good link up play with Jimmy Sinclair, he beat his marker down the right and squared the ball to the marauding GOODWIN who got in front of the Town defender to side foot home. 5-0 FULL TIME. 
The lads were immense today and with that win they go back to the top of the division with 4 games remaining.
MOM went to Lewis
. He was back to his best today and caused Town problems all game. Having said that there were so many outstanding performers that this was not an easy decision!
