Our Under 15's were without a league game so made the short trip to St. George's Graves to take on Abbey Lane.
The boys knew they'd be in for a tough afternoon with their opponents currently sitting 3rd in the A Division.
What followed was an incredibly tight game between 2 very evenly matched teams, with very few chances. Ben made 2 outstanding one on one saves, with the Abbey Lane keeper doing the same to keep the scores level going into the final stages.
We had one last chance late on when we worked the ball well down our right with Henry putting a great cross in which was met by Gaunty arriving late in the box who unfortunately couldn't convert from close range.
The game finished 0-0 which on the balance of play was probably the fair result. For his outstanding saves and all round performance the MOM was unanimously awarded to our #1 Ben Windsor 
. He made 2 or 3 outstanding saves along with sweeping up well at the back.
Coach Mark was full of praise for his sides performance, "Proud of the lads today for an all round team display. We fought for every ball and on another day could have nicked the victory. Having said that Ben kept us in it with an exceptional goalkeeping display. He doesn't always get the credit he deserves, but today proved what a good young keeper he is.

Next week our Under 15's turn their attention back to the league as they travel to Middlewood who are the only team they have lost to so far this season.
