Our Under 15’s travelled to Worksop Town Blacks knowing that a victory would keep them top of the division for another week.
The game was relatively even in the opening exchanges until a mistake at the back allowed the Worksop winger in one on one…..our keeper Ben stood firm and brilliantly saved the shot with his foot 
.
After this we settled down and started to play the better football. We thought we’d twice taken the lead; first from a corner when we won the first header and the ball bounced around near the goal line and soon after when Lewis put in a rebound from a free kick only to be given offside.
Soon after we made the breakthrough; the ball ricocheted around in the box with Lewis
eventually slotting calmly into the corner. 1-0.
Just before half time we grabbed a second. Ben quickly got the ball forward following a Worksop corner, Lewis & Tyler linked up well and the latter was brought down in the box, penalty! Tyler stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way. 2-0 HALF TIME.
Worksop were the better side in the 2nd half although we should have extended our lead when Lewis hit the inside of the post when put clean through by Beazer.
Worksop pulled one back with 10mins to go, but the lads dug deep to see the game out and gain another vital 3pts. 2-1 FULL TIME.
Liam
was solid at the back and took the MOM, just pipping Kingz who was equally as impressive.
This win sees our U15’s needing 5pts from their remaining 3 games to guarantee promotion.
